Randy Newman
Senior Fellow for Apologetics and Evangelism, CSLI
Randy Newman (1956-2024) was the Senior Fellow for Apologetics and Evangelism at the C.S. Lewis Institute. He taught at several evangelical seminaries. After serving for over 30 years with Campus Crusade for Christ, he established Connection Points, a ministry to help Christians engage people’s hearts the way Jesus did. He has written seven books, Questioning Evangelism, Corner Conversations, Bringing the Gospel Home, Engaging with Jewish People, Unlikely Converts: Improbable Stories of Faith and What They Teach Us About Evangelism, Mere Evangelism. and his most recent, Questioning Faith: Indirect Journeys of Belief through Terrains of Doubt. Randy has also written numerous articles about evangelism and other ways our lives intertwine with God’s creation. He earned his MDiv and PhD in Intercultural Studies from Trinity International University. Randy went home to be with the Lord in May 2024.

ProfessorJeremy Begbie is a Theologian, Teacher, Speaker, and Musician. Begbie is Thomas A. Langford Distinguished Research Professor of Theology at Duke Divinity School, and the McDonald Agape Director and founder of Duke Initiatives in Theology and the Arts. He is also a Senior Member at Wolfson College, Cambridge, and an Affiliated Lecturer in the Faculty of Music at the University of Cambridge. His books include A Peculiar Orthodoxy: Reflections on Theology and the Arts, Redeeming Transcendence in the Arts: Bearing Witness to the Triune God, Theology, Music and Time, Resounding Truth: Christian Wisdom in the World of Music, Music, Modernity, and God and Abundantly More: The Theological Promise of the Arts in a Reductionist World.

Pastoral Care Minister
Pippa Cramer serves on staff at Holy Trinity Claygate, Surrey, UK, with responsibility for ministry to seniors, and in 2022 was awarded an MBE in recognition of her work with older and vulnerable people. Pippa is the founder of Connections – one of the largest Church based gatherings for seniors in the UK - and she is passionate about loving and caring for older people, reducing loneliness and giving seniors the opportunity to find hope in the gospel. Pippa is a qualified Occupational Therapist, having specialized in the support and care of older people, she is an Ambassador for Faith in Later Life, and was awarded The Alphege Award for Evangelism and Witness by the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby.

Heather Holleman is an associate teaching professor at Penn State, speaker, and author. Dr. Holleman attended the University of Virginia, graduating with the highest distinction for her thesis on the poetry of Emily Dickinson. She authored Seated with Christ: Living Freely in a Culture of Comparison. She also authored: This Seat’s Saved, written for middle-grade audiences, helping young readers discover they are already seated at the best table with Jesus, winning Christianity Today’s Book of the Year in the Young Adult category. Heather and her husband, Ashley, work with the missions organization (Cru) serving as the Executive Director of Graduate Student Ministry. Heather enjoys writing and speaks regularly to encourage audiences to connect deeply with Jesus and one another.

Lee Strobel, Author, was educated at the University of Missouri (Bachelor of Journalism degree) and Yale Law School (Master of Studies in Law degree). He was a journalist for 14 years at The Chicago Tribune and other newspapers, winning Illinois' highest honor for public service journalism from United Press International. Lee joined the staff of Willow Creek Community Church in 1987 and later became a teaching pastor, eventually moving on to write books and host the national network TV program Faith Under Fire. He is a member of the Evangelical Philosophical Society. He has won Gold Medallions for The Case for Christ, The Case for Faith, and The Case for a Creator, which have been made into documentaries distributed by Lionsgate.

Dai Hankey is a church-planting pastor. He is founder of Red Community, a Christian charity that fights human trafficking in Wales. Dai is a former skateboarder and loves to DJ. He is the author of Hopeward: Gospel Grace for Weary Souls, The Hard Corps, A Man's Greatest Challenge and the Eric Says… series. Dai regularly preaches in churches, prisons and youth events around Wales.

Aaron Welty was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy as a new born, he overcame those early years of low expectations to serve as the Senior Legislative Assistant for Michigan’s 11^th Congressional District, wherein he focused on a variety of policy issues. He graduated from Cedarville University in 2006 with a degree in Public Administration. Prior to working on Capitol Hill, Aaron worked in Marketing and Media at The Heritage Foundation. Passionate about the ideas of individual purpose and destiny, his unique story of faith, family, perseverance and chasing dreams has been shared on NBC Nightly News, various radio programs, Roll Call – a nationally syndicated newspaper – and Facing Life Head On, a life-issues focused television program.
